Bowl For Kids’ Sake was created as a fun, unique way to get the community involved in helping local children to become matched with caring friends and mentors. It is one of Big Brothers Big Sisters primary fundraisers and is the largest community-wide fundraising effort in Northeastern Ohio. It is also the official fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and is happening in cities all across the country.
Bowl For Kids’ Sake is responsible for about 10% of our annual budget. The money raised helps us support our active matches, and is one of our greatest sources for finding new volunteers to match with the children waiting for a Big Brothers or Big Sister of their own.
Bowl For Kids’ Sake events take place at alleys in Lake, Geauga and Ashtabula counties every year in March. The events are open to individuals, teams , corporate/company teams and school groups.
The events not only generate revenue for - and create awareness of the agency and our mission - they provide sponsors with the opportunity to get involved in helping the youth in their communities while attaching their name to the largest and most respected mentoring organization in Northeast Ohio.
